Factory M52 2.5l engine longblock for a 1999-2000 E36/7 BMW Z3 2.3 Roadster. This will only fit the 1999-2000 2.3 badged models, will not work for other years or the 3.0L cars. From a well maintained 1999 2.3 BMW Z3 that had 86k miles and a manual transmission. This may fit other transmission cars as well, but some of your parts will need to be transferred over from your old motor as well as there may be some wire and sensor differences. Please do your research beforehand if planning on installing on a car with a different transmission so that you are aware of the installation specifics. The motor was fully tested and in good running condition. Compression tested with good results (210-205-205-210-210-205). The engine did have some fluid leaking from the PCV system. We suggest replacing these emissions PCV components prior to installation. There is also some oil residue near the valve cover gasket and oil pan gasket. We suggest replacing these seals and any other easy to access gaskets while the engine is removed from the vehicle. Includes the wiring harness as shown. The protective rubber loom is torn and brittle in some areas, however this does not affect the wiring itself. The exhaust manifold studs do have some heavier surface rusting, which has caused one stud to break off. We suggest replacing the studs prior to installation. The engine covers have some typical cosmetic wear, which has worn away some of the silver finish. Includes everything in the pictures, nothing more, nothing less: Motor mount brackets, starter, fuel rail, injectors, coils, wiring harness, engine covers, cooling fan, alternator, and Intake manifold.
** One mounting stud on the backside of the engine used to mount the transmission bell housing did break off in the block as shown. The stuff will need to be extracted from the block and rethreaded for use**
