Functionality:

In good working condition, fully tested prior to removal from a running and driving vehicle. Transmission was able to be shifted through all gears smoothly with no grinds or whining. Fluid has been drained with no excessive metal shavings or abnormalities.

Physical Condition:

In good physical condition with no damage or cracks in the housing. Free of any major corrosion or surface rusting. The rubber shifter boot is torn and will need to be replaced prior to installation.

Fitment Notes:

**This transmission was removed from a 2016 Mx5 that came equipped with the original Version 1 transmission from the factory. Version 1 transmissions were found on vehicles produced Before September 5, 2016. The transmission info sticker shows a build date from 09/25/2015.* Transmissions found on the 2019-2023 ND2 models were also equipped with an updated clutch release bearing sleeve to accommodate for the dual mass flywheel. This transmission will not be a direct fit for those models with the reuse of your existing front cover / pilot bearing sleeve components for installation.
