2017-2024 718 Boxster / Cayman

An evolution of the previous generation (981) Boxster / Cayman, the 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman debuted in the US for the 2017 model year. The most significant changes were the replacement of the familiar 6 cylinder engines in favor of new turbocharged 4 cylinder engines in the base (2.0l), and S, GTS variants (2.5l). To satisfy the consumers that absolutely needed a naturally aspirated flat 6, then the high performance GTS 4.0, GT4, GT4 RS, Spyder and Spyder RS were also offered.
